Gary West

Gary West has one of the most riveting concerts you will ever experience either full band in concert or in a solo/acoustic setting.  Every song has a special meaning and purpose in his performances. Rich, authentic country vocals along with a lifetime of road performances bring stories of Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry to life.  Classic country with Waylon, Willie, Cash, Hag and Jones. Gary's music can go from the solid rockin' rhythm of Johnny Cash to a pure honest Haggard ballad.  Sing along with your favorite and original music that seems like you have known it forever and performed in such an authentic style. 

Although he resides in Elysian, MN now, he spent most of his life in Nashville,TN. Gary performed on the world famous Grand Ole Opry for nearly 15 years. He toured and played on the Grand Ole Opry with Del Reeves and Little Jimmy Dickens. Two of country musics legends that were revered as the “entertainers, entertainers”.  

Gary is one of the very few artists that writes and produces his own music. He has produced hundreds of songs for many Nashville song writers and artists including all three of his own albums. He also stars in his own Johnny Cash Tribute show titled “For the Love of Cash”. This is a first class show band based out of Nashville , TN with his Nashville Players band. 

Though small auditorium venues may be his favorite way to connect with an audience, he has played his share of honky tonk's and bars. In the last couple of years he has begun performing solo with his guitar in local and rural small town eatery's and bars. 

Gary performs solo in auditoriums, clubs, private events and winey's. 

He has performed all over the country but in the local MN area he has performed at;

•  Gary will appear on the annual Mankato Opry Jamboree for three days over Thanksgiving. 
•  He is also honored that his original song “I don't do it for the money” was selected for the BOB FM County Salute CD this year. This same song went to #1 on the independent charts in 2019.                            

Gary has a remarkable local and regional following. 

He also has a large media following on Facebook and other media outlets.
