Gary West is an American singer/songwriter who produces his own original music. He is an accomplished musician who was the drummer for such legendary country music icons as, Del Reeves, Little Jimmy Dickens, Jett Williams and the Drifting Cowboys and performed many years on the world famous Grand Ole Opry with these artists. West also stars in his own Johnny Cash tribute show, “For the Love of Cash” and now coming in 2027 is a new show, “Heroes, Friends and Legends”. This show celebrates the timeless music of country and rock legends - Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley! A tribute to the legends who defined amercan music. You will also hear original music from GW. There will be select events in 2026 presenting this new concert as well.
Gary West's "For the Love of Cash" show pays homage to Johnny Cash and the legends of country music with a show that is like no other. Gary West is NOT a Johnny Cash impersonator; he is an ENTERTAINER! As well as a producer, songwriter, Nashville recording artist and NASCAR Weekly Series race car driver.
Gary has released three albums to date to include two singles and two of those singles have gone to #1 on the independent music charts. “I Don't do it for the money” was his second #1 song and before that “Jackson", the Johnny and June classic that he recorded with the legendary Leona Williams, who wrote several of Merel Haggard and Loretta Lynn hits.
Currently he working on his fourth album. The first single to be released is called “Just one time”. Inspired by he and his fathers love for racing. The summer will be very busy with acoustic performances both as a concert type shows in auditoriums and also a few solo performances on the “Dive Bar” circuit.
Gary will race a full schedule in the NASCSAR Weekly Series at the legendary Elko Speedway in Elko, MN. and select races at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
